EMC and Low Voltage Directives
Compliance with the EMC Directive, which is one of the EU Directives, has been mandatory for the products sold
in European countries since 1996. Additionally, compliance with the Low Voltage Directive, another EU Directive,
has also been mandatory since 1997.
To prove the compliance with the EMC Directive and the Low Voltage Directive, manufactures must issue an EC
Declaration of Conformity and the products must bear a CE marking.
