ANGLE OF THE FRONT HANDLE (B)

Press in and hold the lock buttons

Angle the front handle

Release the lock buttons

Release the locking lever

Adjust the tube

Tighten the locking lever

OPERATION
CONNECTING AN EXTENSION CORD (E)

Connect the trimmer’s power cord to the extension
cord.
f
Run the extension cord through the strain reliever

TRIMMING GRASS
1. Plug the trimmer into a power point.
2.
Press the power switch
(1)
to start the trimmer.
3. Move the trimmer from right to left.
4.
Tap the trimmer spool on the ground to feed
forward the trimmer line when necessary.
5. Release the power switch
(1)
to stop the trimmer.
6. Unplug the plug from the power point.
NOTE:
Trim only with the left part of the trimmer head.
Hold the trimmer over the grass when mowing it
from left to right, to avoid throwing up grass.
On the right part the trimmer lines move towards
you. This results in the risk of throw and objects
being thrown towards you by the line - risk of
personal injury.
Trim tall grass from the top and down in several
steps, otherwise there is a risk of the blades fas
-
tening round the line spool.
Only use the tips of the lines. This reduces the
consumption of the line and reduces the risk of
grass fastening round the line spool.
Avoid working too close to walls, posts and fenc
-
es etc. Contact with solid objects wears the line
very quickly.
The line can damage trees and bushes.
EDGE TRIMMING (D - F)
WARNING! Be extra careful when working with
the trimmer head vertical. Keep at a safe dis
-
tance from the trimmer line when the trimmer
is in use.
NOTE! Risk of damage to the unit! Avoid contact
with solid surfaces to prevent rapid wear of
the thread.

Press in and hold the locking button

Rotate the cutting head

by 180°.

Release the locking button

again.
f
Guide the unit, as shown, slowly along the edge of
the lawn.
REPLACING THE LINE SPOOL (H)
WARNING! When new line has been fed out, hold
the trimmer in a normal working position before
starting it.
Remove the line spool
Press in the locking mechanism

Remove the cover

Remove the line spool.
Fitting the line spool
Push the lines through the openings
(17)
in the
spool retainer.
Press the line spool into the retainer. Pull out the
lines through the openings.
Replace the cover
(16)
and lock in place.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
NOTE:
Do not use chemical, alkaline, abrasive or
other aggressive detergents or disinfectants to
clean this product as they might be harmful to its
surfaces.
Do not spray or wet the appliance with water.
To ensure a long and reliable service life, the fol-
lowing maintenance should be carried out on the
grass trimmer:
f
After each cutting operation, brush out the grass
and soil from:
The spool and its slot,
The whole grass grimmer and in particular the
guard.
f
Brush loose grass out of the ventilation slots.
f
Take special care to clean around the inside of
cutting head guard, the cap and motor housing
cooling vents.
f
The body of the grass trimmer can be wiped
with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly before use
or storage.
f
If the wire cutting blade no longer cuts or
breaks, have this replaced by contacting an au
-
thorized service center.
f
CAUTION!
The blade fixed in the guard is sharp!
REPAIR
This product does not contain any parts that can
be repaired by the consumer. Contact an autho
-
rized service center or a similarly qualified person
to have it checked and repaired.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Recycle raw materials instead of disposing as
waste. Machine, accessories and packaging
should be sorted for environment - friendly recy-
cling. The plastic components are labeled for cat
-
egorized recycling.
WARRANTY
This product is warranted in accordance with the le-
gal/country specific regulations, effective from the
date of purchase by the first user. Damage attribut
-
able to normal wear and tear, overload or improper
handling will be excluded from the guarantee. In
case of a claim, please send the machine, complete-
ly assembled, to your dealer or the service center for
electric power tools.
