INTRODUCTION
1. Key Switch and Direction Selector
To decrease the risk of component damage, stop the vehicle before you move the key switch and
direction selector.
To prevent the loss of control, do not move the direction selector while the vehicle is in
motion. If you move the switch, the vehicle speed will immediately decrease and a
warning device activates.
Located on the instrument panel, the key switch and direction selector enables the electrical system of the
vehicle to be turned on and off by turning the key; it also functions as the direction selector for forward, neu-
tral or reverse. To prevent inadvertent operation of the vehicle when left unattended, the key should be
turned to the OFF position and removed.
2. State Of Charge Meter
The vehicle is equipped with a state of charge meter located in the dash panel below the speedometer. The
state of charge meter indicates the amount of usable power in the batteries. The state of charge meter shows
the condition of the battery pack with F indicating a full charge on the battery pack and E indicating the
battery pack needs to be charged.
