The fine positioning will performed during initiation of treatment. Please follow section 4.7.2. 

4.7

 

Treatment 

 

Perform  an  illumination  check  (Procedure  see  section  4.5)  prior  to  each  treatment. 
For  this  purpose  use  the  attached  measurement  adapter  and  the  included  UV 

–

 

meter. The check makes sure that the irradiation intensity is in its defined limits and 
no harm is caused to the patient.  

4.7.1

 

Start of treatment 

Have  a  clock  ready  at  the  start  of  the  treatment  and  control  the  timing  of  the  treatment.  The 
treatment is started by pressing the Start / Stop button. The device displays during treatment in the 
display "EMISSION", and the emission light is on. The remaining time of the treatment is in the 2nd 
display line (Figure 41).

Check proper functioning of the device and proper positioning above the patients eye 
(correct distance).  

 

For errors  that  occur  on  the  device or  unclear  device  states  turn  the  device  off  and 
contact your distributor for repair or replacement of the device 

Distance between bottom of the 

unit and the eye = 50 ± 5 mm
