SIS Commands
Simple Instruction Set (SIS) commands are a set of commands developed by Extron that
consist of one or more characters per field and do not require any special characters to
begin or end a command sequence. When the MediaPort determines that a command is
valid, it executes the command and sends a response to the host device. All responses
from the product to the host end with a carriage return and a line feed, indicating the end of
a response character string (one or more characters).
The MediaPort 200 can be configured and controlled via a host computer attached to
the rear panel, RS-232 port, rear panel LAN port, or front panel USB Config port. SIS
commands are entered from a host PC via the DataViewer software application which can
be downloaded at the

file to
use this program).
The MediaPort RS-232 port uses a protocol of 9600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity,
and no flow control.
Power-Up Message
The MediaPort sends the following copyright message upon connection to the host when
the unit is powered up (the message displays on the computer screen only with an Ethernet
(TCP/IP) connection):
