
Resetting
Resetting the unit causes various settings to revert to the defaults that were set at the
factory. Resets can be performed via the front panel buttons, the rear panel
Reset
button,
the OSD, the PCS software, or SIS commands. The following resets are available:
•
Factory defaults
— This reset clears all user-specified settings but retains the latest
firmware version. You can perform this reset by:

Selecting
Factory
Reset
from the
Advanced
submenu of the OSD (see the
Advanced
submenu on page 35)

Entering the SIS command to reset all device settings to factory default (see the
•
Selecting

from the
Device
tab menu in the PCS software
When the reset is complete, the message
Factory
Reset
is displayed on the OSD.

Resetting using the
Reset
button

Sets port mapping to the factory
default.
The Reset LED blinks four times in quick
succession during the reset.
Mode 4 sets all IP
information to factory
defaults.
It does not replace
any user-installed
firmware.

Hold in the
Reset
button until the
Reset LED blinks three times (once
after approximately 3 seconds, again
after 6 seconds, and then again after
9 seconds). Then, within 1 second,
press
Reset
momentarily (for less
than 1 second).
Performs a complete reset to factory
defaults except the firmware.
•
Does everything that mode 4 does.
•
Resets all user-modifiable
configuration to default values,
including IP settings and real-time
adjustments.
•
Deletes all user-loaded files, including
user images.
The Reset LED blinks four times in quick
succession during the reset.
Mode 5 is useful if
you want to start
over with the default
configuration.
This is equivalent to
the SIS command
ZQQQ
.
NOTE:
Mode 5 reset clears all adjustments. To save these settings, use the PCS software program
and select
Backup
from the
DSC
HD-HD
4K
Plus
A
tab menu before you perform this reset (see the
control program help file for more information).
