HIGH TEMPERATURE
NOTIFICATION SETTING
1. Press the trigger to turn on the device.
2. Press the
SELECT
button until
HAL
is
shown on the display.
3. Press button
, to increase the
notification value or button
to
lower the notification value. This noti-
fication value is shown in the bottom
right corner of the display.
4. The value in the middle of the display
is the current temperature measured
during testing. If the current measured
temperature is higher than the set
notification value, the device will beep
and the text
HI
will flash in the top left
corner of the display. If the measured
temperature is lower than the set
HAL
temperature, this will not be accompa-
nied by a signal.
COMPENSATION
(CALIBRATION)
1. Press the trigger to turn on the device.
2. Press the
SELECT
button until
offset
is shown on the display.
3. Press button
to add to the current
temperature value or press button
to subtract from the current
temperature value. The value that is
added or subtracted is shown in the
bottom right corner of the display. The
temperature value in the middle of the
display shows the value that has already
been increased or decreased.
* The compensation function can be used
for calibrating the device. If you know,
for example, that the temperature of
a certain point is exactly 0 °C, whilst
the device shows the value 0.1 °C, you
can use the compensation function to
subtract the value 0.1 °C from the value
on the display.
MAINTENANCE
Apart from the replacement of batteries,
do not readjust, disassemble or otherwise
modify the device.
CLEANING THE PRODUCT
If necessary, clean the device using a damp
cloth and a diluted cleaning agent. Do not
use abrasive cleaning products or solvents.
Soils and humidity on the sensor may
affect measurement results. If necessary,
clean the device‘s sensor using a soft cloth
used for cleaning glasses.
different emissivity value than 0.95 leads
to inaccurate measurement results.
If you
wish to increase measurement accuracy,
set the device‘s emissivity value for the
measured material according to the table
provided below. During measurement, we
recommend recording the set emissivity
value for the given material to enable mea-
surement results to be compared relative to
the set emissivity for the given material.
MEASURING
THE MAXIMUM VALUE
1. Press the trigger to turn on the device.
2. Press the
SELECT
button until
MAX
is
shown on the display.
3. Hold down the trigger for continuous
temperature measurement. The value in
the middle of the display will show the
current temperature of the measured
spot at which the device is currently
aimed, whilst the value in the bottom
right corner will show the maximum
value that was measured during the
time that the trigger is held down.
MEASURING
THE AVERAGE VALUE
1. Press the trigger to turn on the device.
2. Press the
SELECT
button until
AVG
is
shown on the display.
3. Hold down the trigger for continuous
temperature measurement. The value in
the middle of the display will show the
current temperature of the measured
spot at which the device is currently
aimed, whilst the value in the bottom
right corner will show the average value
that was measured during the time that
the trigger is pulled.
MEASURING DIFFERENCE
1. Press the trigger to turn on the device.
2. Press the
SELECT
button until
DIF
is
shown on the display.
3. Hold down the trigger for continuous
temperature measurement. The value
in the middle of the display will show
the temperature of the spot at which
the device is currently aimed, whilst the
value in the bottom right corner will
show the the difference between the
maximum value and minimum value
that was measured during the time that
the trigger is held down.
SETTING A LOW
TEMPERATURE
NOTIFICATION
1. Press the trigger to turn on the device.
2. Press the
SELECT
button until
LAL
is
shown on the display.
3. Press button
, to increase the
notification value or button
to
lower the notification value. This noti-
fication value is shown in the bottom
right corner of the display.
4. The value in the middle of the display
is the current temperature measured
during testing. If the current measured
temperature is lower than the set noti-
fication value, the device will beep and
the text
LOW
will flash in the top left
corner of the display. If the measured
temperature is higher than the set
LAL
temperature, there will be no indicati-
on.
