Using the Summit WM3400 Wireless LAN
Controller Reset Button
The Summit WM3400 wireless LAN controller has a reset button on the rear of the
controller near the power connector.
To reset the controller to factory defaults:
1 Connect a computer to the Console Port as outlined in “Summit WM3400 Wireless
LAN Controller Console Port Setup” on page 24 .
2 Reset the controller using the Web UI or the Command Line Interface.
3 As soon as the controller resets, depress the reset button on the rear of the controller
and continue to hold it through the boot up process until the following message is
displayed in the console:
Startup config will be RESET to factory default
loading linux image 2 .......................
Welcome to WM3400
CAUTION
Using the controller reset button will reset all configuration information and settings on the
controller to factory defaults. All previously configured information and settings will be lost.
