To attach a switch to a two-post rack, follow these steps.
1. On one side of the switch, set a mounting ear against the switch housing. Set the mounting ear even
with the front panel of the switch – or, if you are mid-mounting the switch, set the ear toward the
back of the switch.
The following figures illustrate how to attach the mounting ears for two common mounting options.

•
Figure 32 on page 57 shows a mid-mount configuration using short mounting ears.
