When using your raclette, basic safety precautions should always be followed:
1. Read all instructions.
2. If you pass on this appliance to a third party, these operating instructions must
also be handed over.
3. Incorrect operation and handling can lead to malfunction of the appliance and
injuries to the user.
4. This appliance is not suitable for commercial use or for use in the open air.
5. Before inserting the plug into the mains socket, please check that the current
power supply complies with the specifications on the type plate.
6. Only use the raclette for its intended use.
7. To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the raclette in water
or any other liquids.
8. Never pull on the cord to disconnect it from the outlet; instead, grasp the plug
and pull on it to disconnect.
9. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces. Let the raclette cool down com-
pletely before cleaning.
10. Do not operate the raclette with a damaged cord or if the raclette has been
dropped or damaged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the

cause a risk of electric shock when the raclette is used.
11. Close supervision is necessary for any appliance used by or near children. Do
not leave the raclette unattended while plugged in.
12. To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high voltage appliance on the

Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the
