Preparing the Operator
Controlled Discharge
Accessory for Installation
Important:
The Operator Controlled Discharge
accessory comes with its own discharge deflector.
When using the Operator Controlled Discharge
accessory, Exmark recommends the original
mower discharge deflector to remain installed on
the unit and in the flipped up position. There
are some instances where the existing discharge
deflector must be removed when installing the
Operator Controlled Discharge accessory. If the
original mower discharge deflector is removed
during the Operator Controlled Discharge
accessory installation, retain the discharge
deflector and its hardware for reinstallation once
the Operator Controlled Discharge accessory is
removed.
1.
Use a hammer and chisel to knock out the
standard tab, as shown in Figure 2, before starting
the installation instructions. Knocking out the
tab allows the Operator Controlled Discharge
accessory frame to fit properly to these decks.
2.
Check the location of the mounting pin as
shown in Figure 2. If necessary, remove the bolt
and mounting pin and place it into the correct
location. Reinstall the bolt to secure the mounting
pin.
