5. Rear Panel Connections and Cabling
Step 1:
refer to the Quick Start Guide for more detailed instructions
Step 2:
connect LAN port of first bridge to the LAN side switch
Step 3:
connect WAN port of the first bridge to the WAN side router / firewall
Step 4:
ensure traffic flows from your LAN to your WAN while the appliance is off and the bridge is in bypass
Step 5:
connect either a serial cable or a video cable and USB keyboard for system configuration
Step 6:
connect the dedicated Management port to the LAN side switch
Step 7:
connect the DC power connector to the DC power supply inlet
Step 8:
connect the AC power cord to the AC power supply inlet and power on the device (see page 8 for power on instructions)
Step 9:
configure the IP information using a laptop connected to the serial console or the keyboard and monitor
