Electrolyte inside the battery is harmful to skin and eyes.
If the battery leaks and electrolyte gets into your eyes, do
not rub them. Instead, rinse them with clean running water
and immediately seek medical attention. If left untreated,
electrolyte can cause eye permanent injury.
FITTING
›
Check the battery voltage before fitting. Recharge the
battery if the voltage is less than 12.8V
›
Always follow the vehicle manufacturers’ instructions
›
Connect correctly the positive and negative terminal
›
Fit the battery with spacers when needed
CHARGING
›
Use only specific Li-ion battery chargers
›
Do not charge the battery with charging voltage of over 15.0V
›
Do not use any charger with automatic desulphation function
›
When possible, remove the battery from the vehicle before charging
›
Charging voltage should be 14.0 – 15.0V for both vehicle and battery
charger. Lower voltage will result in insufficient charge. Higher voltage
will cause damage to the battery
›
Respect the standard & maximum charge current indicated on the
battery labels
›
Avoid draining the battery to less than 8V. If the voltage drops to below
8V, refer to the charger manual
›
If the battery becomes hot to the touch, stop charging and allow the
battery to cool before resuming
›
After charging, wait 1 to 2 hours before checking the voltage. If the
voltage is less than 12.8V, additional charging is necessary
STORAGE
›
The battery should be kept in a clean and dry environment (-20°C to
40°C) with no contact with any corrosive substance and away from
heat and fire
›
Charge the battery once every 180 days
TRANSPORTATION
›
Pack the battery with insulation and shockproof material
›
Handle with care when loading and unloading during transport. Do
not throw the batteries and avoid collision.
›
Do not transport the batteries together with flammable, explosive
objects or sharp metal goods
MAINTENANCE
›
It is recommended to disconnect the battery if the vehicle is in storage
or used infrequently. Alternatively, perform maintenance charge or
charge the battery regularly
›
If the battery is not used for a long period of time, check the voltage
and recharge the battery if the voltage is below 12.8V
›
Keep the connecting poles clean and securely fastened
›
The battery is factory sealed and requires no topping up of any liquid.
Never attempt to open the battery

CAUTIONS
›
Do not immerse the battery in water
›
Do not use or store the battery near sources of fire or heater
›
Do not reverse the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals
›
Do not connect the battery directly to AC outlets
›
Do not connect any wire or metal object to the positive (+) and
negative (-) terminal
›
Do not pierce the battery casing with a nail or other sharp object,
break it open with a hammer, or step on it
›
Do not strike, throw, or subject the battery to severe physical shock
›
Do not directly solder the battery terminals
›
Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the battery in any way
›
Do not place the battery in a microwave oven or pressurized container
›
Do not use the battery in combination with primary batteries (such as
dry cell batteries) or batteries of different capacity, type, or brand
›
Do not use the battery if it gives off an odor, generates heat, becomes
discolored or deformed, or appears abnormal in any way. If the battery
is in use or being recharged, remove it from the device or charger
immediately and discontinue use
›
Do not fit extra audio, anti-theft lock and other electronic device on
vehicle by yourself
›
Do not use more than one battery in parallel or in series
›
Do not press on indicator button longer than few seconds
›
Do not dispose the battery before completely discharged
›
Do not charge the battery by charging voltage over 15.0V
›
Do not use any charger with automatic desulphation function
›
The battery will fail if over charged, it may deform or fume
›
Fix the battery terminal with original screws and nuts securely. Battery
and even vehicle may be damaged by the sparks because of a loose
connection
