Installation
Aerial
Extend the aerial (16) fully for the best signal reception. The optimum radio signal reception is
usually achieved when the aerial is in an upright, vertical position.
Connecting the mains adapter
Connect the mains adapter to the DC IN socket (17) and to a 230 V wall socket. The display will
first show “Welcome to Digital Radio”, thereafter the time will be shown.
Remember to unplug the product from the wall socket during heavy thunder storms to protect it.
External audio source input socket
If you wish to connect an external audio source to the radio such as a mobile phone or MP3 player,
you can do this by plugging it into the AUX IN socket (19) on the back of the radio.
Listening with headphones
1. Connect headphones to the 3.5 mm headphones socket
(20). The sound from
the speakers in the radio will be automatically cut off once headphones are connected.
2. Turn the volume down completely.
3. Put the headphones on and carefully increase the volume to a comfortable level.
