Choose the direction of rotation
If you pull EWINCHER towards you and swivel the handle to the other side of the
winch, the handle will automatically change its direction of rotation. You can easily choose
your winch speed this way. The direction of rotation that you choose is indicated by the
color of the LED :
green for speed 1
and
purple for speed 2
.
You can also manually choose the
motor’s
rotation direction by giving a pushing pulse on
the knob button, should be less than 1s (1).
Combine Mode
When using the power assistance you can also turn the handle just like a regular winch
handle. Your maneuver will be twice as fast !
Manual Mode
Whenever you'd like, you can use Ewincher as a manual handle.
To do so, hold Ewincher as indicated in the picture, one hand on
the hand grip and another on the knob. Using the hand that is
holding the knob, keep pressing the top button (1) and use
Ewincher like a regular handle.
Additionally, you can also use Ewincher as a ratchet wrench.
Position yourself correctly, keep the knob button pressed in (1),
pull Ewincher towards you, let go of the button (1) and reposition
Ewincher on the winch, etc.
Ewincher is very powerful. It allows you to perform the full range of sailing maneuvers,
such as sheeting or tensioning a sail, hoisting a spinnaker, etc.. You can also use it to
haul a person up the mast.
Hauling a person up the mast is the maneuver which pushes the system the hardest
and can turn on the thermal circuit breaker. For a better use, do not hesitate to cool
down your handle before beginning this maneuver.

Use
For optimal use, make sure that the battery is completely charged.
To insert the battery pack
1. Align the battery pack (6) with the track on the top of the handle.
2. Slide in the battery pack until it is completely inserted into the
handle.
