The information shown in the update message varies depending on whether
or not the locking component is in your own or an external AirKey locking
system.

Regularly update your AirKey locking components. This is the only way to
ensure your AirKey system remains secure and up to date.

Regularly update locking components to ensure all protocol data has been
transferred from locking components to the online administration. The up-
date intervals depend on the frequency the locking components are used.
Observe the

Values and limits of AirKey

components.

Cylinder seals must be replaced by trained personnel after two years at the
latest. The durability of the seals depends on component use and the instal-
lation environment, i.e. the service life will be shorter in environments af-
fected by direct sunlight or in hot, cold and dusty environments, etc. Im-
mediately replace seals upon identifying any damage, such as cracks,
deformation or atypical appearance to continue to guarantee the corre-
sponding IP protection. EVVA recommends to always have the seals re-
placed by trained personnel as part of battery replacements. Any regular,
statutory inspections of the locking components must be carried out as per
the local regulations applicable in the country of installation (e.g. escape
doors).

8.2

Updating smartphones

You can manually update smartphones at any time using the AirKey online administration
to keep the AirKey locking system data up to date. Select the

icon within the

AirKey app.
