IRQ Assignment Table 

There are 15 interrupt sources in the system. Some are exclusively occupied by the 

system device. Only the ones which are not exclusively occupied can be assigned. The 

ISA devices claim to engross the interrupt. Only the plug and play ISA devices can be 

assigned by the BIOS or the OS. And several PCI devices can share one interrupt 

through the assignment of BIOS or OS. The diagram below shows parts of the 

interrupt assignment, but it does not show the interrupts of the PCI devices.
