5.8  Use of snap fittings  

Due to their ease of use and versatility as well as their reliability, this system has connectors with 
snap  fittings.  You  should  therefore  examine  the  following  instructions  for  the  proper  use  of  this 
accessory. 

 
 
 
 
 

 
 
 

The figure illustrates connection and disconnection operations together with the relevant technical 
information.  The  tubes  must  have  the  appropriate  diameters  and  must  be  cut  with  an  appropriate 
tube cutter as a clean cut allows for a perfect fit with the internal workings of the snap fittings. 

Below are the technical characteristics of the fittings used: 

Operating pressure: 0 – 100 Mpa (≈ 0 – 10 bar) 

Operating temperature: -25° C to +75° C 

Tubes installed: plastic 

Material components: body in acetal copolymer, O-ring in nitrile rubber, collar in acetal copolymer 
and stainless steel. 

Compatible fluids: compressed air, water, some inert gases, liquid food products  

Tolerance for the external diameter of the tube: 

6 mm           (+0,05 / -0,1 mm) 

8 mm           (+0,05 / -0,1 mm)  

9.5 mm        (+0,05 / -0,1 mm) 

12.7 mm      (+0,05 / -0,1 mm) 

 

Every time a  maintenance or repair operation is  performed, we recommend replacing tubes
