GAS LEAKS
If a gas leak is suspected…Inform everyone
in the area, asking them to extinguish or turn
off everything that may ignite the gas.
DO NOT OPERATE ELECTRICAL
SWITCHES, THEY MAY GENERATE
SPARKS.
Open any doors or windows, close cylinder
valves and take cylinders into the open.
If a large amount of gas has escaped,
evacuate the area and call the Fire Brigade.
OPERATING GUIDE
Position the heater with care, on a firm, level
surface. The heater must be absolutely upright
to reduce any risk of it falling over.
There must be a minimum clearance of 1 metre
around the heater to minimise the risk of heat
damage.
Open the carry case, remove the heater body,
the 3 legs and the hose & regulator.
Lay the heater body on its side and fit the 3 legs
to the base, ensuring they are located correctly
and secured by the spring pins.
Stand the heater upright and place the deflector
onto the stud located centrally on the burner top.
Fold down the sliding lever on the stud to secure
the deflector.
Ensure the gas hose is connected to the heater
body, a simple push fit.
You can now fit the regulator to the cylinder. Make
sure the black tap on the regulator is in the “off”
position (down) and fit the regulator by firmly
pressing down onto the cylinder’s valve until you
feel it lock into place.
Check for leaks (see GAS SAFETY)
Place the gas cylinder centrally beneath the heater
and attach the chain hook to the cylinders handle.
Raise the cylinder by pivoting the chain lever down
and lock in place by attaching the small hook on
the lever to the chain hook.
Attach the base cover to the legs in order to hide
the cylinder from view.
To light the heater, turn on the gas at the cylinder
by turning the black tap on the regulator “up”.
Now hold a lighted taper to the burner pilot then
press and turn the control knob anticlockwise until
it stops.
Once the pilot lights, keep the control knob
depressed for 20 seconds to allow the safety cut out
to activate. This will close down the gas supply if
the flame is extinguished.
The control knob can now be used to adjust the
heat.
If the heater fails to light, turn the gas supply off
and wait for any un-burned gas to clear before
repeating the lighting procedure.
To finish…Close the gas cylinder valve, when
the burner has gone out, you can then turn the
gas control tap on the heater fully clockwise.
Leave the heater to cool before disconnecting the
gas regulator by pressing in the black tap and at
the same time pulling the regulator upwards .
Once cool dismantle and repack the heater by
reversing the set up instructions.
