Troubleshooting
Every iDRIVE is designed and manufactured with quality and performance in mind.
However despite our best efforts occasionally an iDRIVE experiences performance
issues, most of which can be traced back to a loose connection. If you ever
experience problems with an iDRIVE; whether it be loss of power, fault codes
appearing on your dashboard, fluctuating throttle etc. the very first thing you should
do is go back over your connections. Disconnect the iDRIVE completely and check
all connectors for damage/defects, looking at the pins of the plugs to ensure none
were damaged during installation. If everything looks okay, re-install as per
installation instructions, ensuring every single connection is appropriately seated
and firm. Once the iDRIVE is reinstalled properly, start the car and check its
operation, if it is still faulty remove the iDRIVE immediately and contact iDRIVE
Australia for a replacement unit. Please do not try and fix/alter the iDRIVE to make it
work, once an iDRIVE has been modified it is no longer covered by warranty and a
new iDRIVE will have to be purchased.
