Preparing a square pit

On cohesive soil, a vertical recess should be possible in a
short time. On non-cohesive or loose soils, an angle of
slope should be maintained to prevent subsequent slipping
of the edges.

Pit preparation
•
Place concrete L blocks with external dimensions
measuring 200 x 200 cm on a lean concrete in the pit. The
top edge of the concrete L blocks should be 31 cm below
the ground level.
•
After installing the concrete support, fi ll the gap between
the concrete L blocks with washed gravel (16/32 mm) to a
depth of 12 cm.
•
Once preparations are complete, the KidsTramp can be
placed on the concrete L blocks. Fill the remaining cavities
between the playground trampoline and the existing
ground with 2 – 5 mm grit.
•
Add humus to the top 5 – 10 cm to create a seamless
transition to the existing ground.
•
Drainage must be added to cohesive (impermeable) soil.
The pit must be dug 15 cm deeper and a drainage pipe
fi tted which can be connected to an appropriate outfl ow
(e.g. sewerage system).
•
Then compact 15 cm of frost protection and and base
layer/gravel mix across the entire surface and then apply
the concrete layer.
Attenttion:
the Kids Tramp must be installed on a level
surface and not on a mound or slope.
