Replacement and configuration of ETL0W474G R.F. Amplifier module.
Due to the reliability of the basic ETL0W474G module, partial failures in one RF Amplifier are very rare
and total failures extremely unlikely.
Replacement of an ETL0W474G amplifier module can be done without turn off the ETLUW4G03
transmitter unit. During this operation the transmitter unit will work at a lower R.F. output power.
To replace an ETL0W474G R.F. Amplifier module follow the steps below:
•
Turn off the main supply switch of the target ETL0W474G amplifier module. This switch is placed in
the lower part of the transmitter cabinet.
•
Open the rear panel of the transmitter rack.
•
Close the two valves placed on the inlet and outlet coolant pipes of the target amplifier module.
•
Disconnect power supply cables from the rear panel of the ETL0W474G amplifier module.
•
Disconnect all cables connected to the rear panel of the target ETL0W474G amplifier module.
•
Disconnect ETL0W474G amplifier module from the cooling system through quick couplers at the
coolant inlet and outlet.
•
Remove the ETL0W474G amplifier module from the rack cabinet and replace it with the new
ETL0W474G amplifier module.
•
Connect ETL0W474G amplifier modules to the cooling system through quick couplers at the coolant
inlet and outlet.
•
Open the two valves placed on the inlet and outlet coolant pipes of the related amplifier module.
•
Connect coaxial cables with 7-16 connector coming from the high power combiner with the “RF
OUTPUT” socket placed on the rear panel of the ETL0W474G amplifier module.
•
Connect “N” to “N” coaxial cable coming from the low power splitter with the “RF INPUT” socket
placed on the rear panel of the ETL0W474G amplifier module.
•
Connect amplifiers “ENABLE” cable to the “ENABLE in/out” socket placed on the rear panel of the
ETL0W474G amplifier module.
•
Connect “E-LINK” cable to the “E-LINK” socket placed on the rear panel of the ETL0W474G
amplifier module.
•
Connect power supply cables to power supply socket placed on the rear panel of the ETL0W474G
amplifier module.
•
Close the rear panel of the transmitter rack.
