A skilled person has to approve the flying construction before every use. This approval includes appearance
and load tests when moved in accordance with the BGV-A2 for electrical devices.
5.1 Rack-Installation
This power distributor is built for 19" racks (483 mm). The rack you use should be a Double-Door-Rack
where you can open the frontpanel and the rear panel. The rack should be provided with a cooling fan. When
mounting the power distributor into the rack, please make sure that there is enough space around the device
so that the heated air can be passed on. Steady overheating will damage your device.
You can fix the power distributor with four screws M6 in the rack.
Be careful when mounting the power distributor into the rack. Put the heaviest devices into the lower part of
the rack. Be aware that fastening the power distributor with four screws on the front panel is not enough. In
order to ensure safety, additional fastening by using ground and side bars is necessary.
5.2 Connections
5.2.1 Connection with the mains
To connect the device to the mains, you will need a power cord with a 5-pole 380-400 V 16A CEE plug.
DANGER TO LIFE!
The electric connection must only be carried out by a qualified electrician!
5.2.2 Outputs
Output is via 9 safety sockets.
Connect your loads via the output-sockets. The maximum load per channel is 3,680 W (resistive). Please
note that the maximum current of 16 A must never be exceeded.
5.2.2 Bypass
If necessary, the BYPASS output socket can be used to feed-through up to 16 A three-phase-current.
DANGER TO LIFE!
Before taking into operation for the first time, the installation has to be approved by an expert!
6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The operator has to make sure that safety-relating and machine-technical installations are inspected by an
expert after every four years in the course of an acceptance test.
The operator has to make sure that safety-relating and machine-technical installations are inspected by a
skilled person once a year.
The following points have to be considered during the inspection:
1) All screws used for installing the devices or parts of the device have to be tighly connected and must not
be corroded.
2) There must not be any deformations on housings, fixations and installation spots (ceiling, suspension,
trussing).
3) The electric power supply cables must not show any damages, material fatigue (e.g. porous cables) or
sediments. Further instructions depending on the installation spot and usage have to be adhered by a
skilled installer and any safety problems have to be removed.
