The FOREST RANGER helmet has been tested and complies with EN397 and also for resistance at low temperature -30°C.
Recommended life of the helmet
The FOREST RANGER helmet can used for a recommended period of 6 years from the date of manufacture. This date is marked
on the inside of the helmet shell.
Warning :
The helmet must never be modified in any way that is not recommended by the manufacturer.
Do not paint the helmet shell.
Instructions for the use of the Earmuffs
The earmuffs comply with EN352-3 :2002. If you need further information regarding the level for protection, please get in touch with
the manufacturer.
The 3017 earmuffs are ear defenders mounted on adjustable legs with replaceable cushions and foam stuffing.
Recommendation :
The wearer should check that the earmuffs are properly adjusted on the ears and are maintained in good
condition. Always use the earmuffs when in a noisy environment.
Attention :If you do not follow these instructions the protection effect of the earmuffs will be severely diminished.
Cleaning
Some chemicals can affect the earmuffs. Please consult the manufacturer for further information. The earmuffs can be cleaned with
a soft cloth and warm soapy water. Allow them to dry before use. Do not use chemical cleaning products or solvents. Do not use a
wire brush or any other tool which can physically damage the cushions or foam padding of the earmuffs.
Maintenance :
The earmuffs and in particular the cushions can deteriorate and should be checked regularly for signs of cutting or splitting. If
necessary the cushions should be replaced normally every 6 months. The cushions should be removed carefully and the new one
pressed onto the frame carefully and uniformly so that the cushion clicks into place. The foam padding can also be replaced if
necessary. The support legs must not be altered or deformed as they apply the correct pressure to achieve the correct noise
attenuation.

increased by using the INTEGRASPEC integrated retractable safety spectacles : - LPC Transparent complyingwithEN166.
