INTENDED USE
In addition to a stepless second hand and crescendo alarm, this table clock / quartz
alarm clock with modern and contemporary design also provides a repeated alarm
(snooze function) as well as background light that can be activated.
Hour and minute hands are fl uorescent. The housing is made of ABS, POM, AS.
Voltage to the table clock is supplied via a 1 x 1.5 V mini battery (type: R14). Voltage
to the quartz alarm clock is supplied via a 1 x 1.5 V mignon battery (type: AA).
The product is only approved for use in dry indoor locations.
Any use other than that described above will lead to damage to the product and will
expose you to additional risks such as short circuits, fi re, electrical shocks etc.
No part of the product should be modifi ed or reassembled.
The safety instructions are to be observed without fail!

EXPLANATION OF THE SYMBOLS
This symbol, with an exclamation mark in a triangle, indicates particular dan-
gers associated with handling, function or operation.
The “Hand“ symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused
by improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The
warranty will be void in such cases.
The product must not be modifi ed or converted, as not only the CE approval
will become void but the warranty as well.
The product must not be exposed to extremes of temperature, humidity, strong
vibrations or heavy mechanical stress.
After rapid changes in temperature, the product requires some time to adjust
to the surrounding temperature.
Wait until the product has adjusted to the ambient temperature before use.
This product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children!
Please contact a qualifi ed person, if you are unsure about the safety or the
correct use of the product.
Never leave the packaging material lying around unattended. Plastic foil/
bags etc. can be dangerous playthings for children; there is a risk of suffoca-
tion.
If a safe operation can no longer be assumed, the device has to be put out of
operation and secured against unintended operation.
You can assume that safe operation is no longer possible, if
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device no longer works
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of
time
or
- it has been subjected to considerable stress during transportation.
In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the em-
ployer’s liability insurance association for electrical systems and operating
facilities are to be observed.
The product is only approved for use in dry indoor locations.
Ensure that no sources of magnetism or electro-magnetism or heat sources
are in the vicinity of the product.
Do not expose the product to any mechanical stress. Falls from a low height
and any pressure applied to the components can damage the device.
Never pour fl uids over electrical devices.
Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a qualifi ed
specialist or a specialised repair shop.

BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION
Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting
the battery.
Do not leave the battery lying around in the open; there is a risk of it being swal-
lowed by children or domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burns if they come into contact with the
skin. You should therefore wear suitable protective gloves.
Make sure that the battery is neither short-circuited nor thrown into a fi re. There
is a risk of explosion!
Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of explosion!
If it is not to be used for a while (e.g. storage), remove the battery. An old battery
may leak and cause damage to the product, which will lead to the loss of the war-
ranty/guarantee!

INSERTING/REPLACING THE BATTERY
Open the battery compartment by removing the cover.
Remove the used battery, if necessary.
Insert a new battery. Voltage to the table clock is supplied via a 1 x 1.5 V mini
battery (type: CR14). Voltage to the quartz alarm clock is supplied via a 1 x 1.5 V
mignon battery (type: AA). Close the battery compartment by placing the cover
back onto the device.
After inserting a battery into the battery compartment, the table clock or
quartz alarm clock is ready for use. Now set the current time.
SETTING THE TIME
Close the battery compartment by placing the cover back onto the device.
After inserting the battery correctly into the battery compartment, the
table clock or quartz alarm clock is ready for use. Only the current time
can be set. For this purpose, proceed as follows:
Carefully pull out the rotary knob at the back until it snaps out.
Set the current hour and minute with the rotary knob.
Press the rotary knob back into the housing holder until it snaps in.
SETTING THE ALARM TIME:
Use the rotary alarm knob to set the desired alarm time.
Move the "alarm switch ON/OFF" into the position "ON". The alarm function is
now activated. An alarm sounds at the set alarm time.
ACTIVATING/DEACTIVATING THE ALARM
In order to deactivate a current alarm or to deactivate the alarm function, move the
"alarm switch ON/OFF" into the position "OFF".
SNOOZE FUNCTION AND BACKGROUND LIGHT
The snooze function as well as the background light can be activated by pressing
the "Snoozer & Light" button. The background light is deactivated automatically
after a few seconds.
If a current alarm is suppressed by the "Snooze & Light" button, the alarm pauses for
a duration of 5 minutes. The alarm sounds again after these 5 minutes. The entire
alarm duration is 30 minutes. After that, a new alarm is not triggered.
