e) Wind speed and wind direction display

Reading the wind direction
Read the current wind direction using the direction indicator. The filled direction arrow
represents the current
wind direction around the compass circle. In the example below, the wind is blowing from the west. The wind direction
over the past 5 minutes is indicated by a simple direction arrow
. Up to 6 direction displays can be displayed for
the past 5 minutes. In the example below, the wind blew from varying southwesterly directions (3x change of direction).

Selecting wind display mode
You can switch between gust speed and average wind speed display. The average wind speed ‘AVERAGE’ is aver-
aged from the individually measured speed values over the past 30 seconds. The gust speed ‘GUST’ is the highest
last measured wind speed value.
• In normal mode, press the
WIND
button (2) once to display the strength of gusts ‘GUST’ on the LC display (8) in
the set unit. ‘GUST’ is displayed.
• Press the
WIND
button (2) twice to display the average wind speed. ‘AVERAGE’ appears on the LC display. The
wind speed is shown in the set unit.

Setting the wind speed unit
1. In normal mode, press and hold the
WIND
button (2) for 2 seconds to switch to wind speed mode. The unit flashes.
2. Press the Up button (20) or the Down button (21) to change the wind speed units in the following sequence:
→ mph → m/s → km/h → knots
3. Press the
WIND
button (2) again to confirm your setting and return to normal mode.
f) Weather recording for the past 24 hours
The weather station automatically saves the weather data from the past 24 hours. This includes the measured indoor
and outdoor temperatures as well as the associated relative humidity, the air pressure, the wind chill factor, the wind
speed and the precipitation data.
1. Press the
HISTORY
button (6) to display the weather data for one hour ago, e.g. the current time is 8 March, 7:00
a.m. The display shows the data for ‘8 March, 06:00 a.m.’.
