4.3 Gearbox
The change of the mechanical speed is done by shifting the black slider on the side of the gearbox.
The down position is best for cutting with annular cutters.
The up position is for high speed, and therefore specially for twist drilling.
1. To select the correct gear from neutral (middle) position:
a. Slide the gear switch down, this is gear 1;
b. Slide the gear switch up, this is gear 2;
NOTE : Only change the speed after the machine has come to a complete stop!
2. Speed selection (also see plate on gearbox):
Gear 1 Ø 12-40 mm annular cutters Rotating speed: 720 rpm
(1/2"-1 9/16")
Gear 2 Ø 1-13 mm twist drills Rotating speed: 1300 rpm
(1/16"-1/2")
