Maximizing Your Heater’s Performance
In order to maximize your heater’s performance, ensure minimal heat can
escape by:
I Closing your curtains.
I Covering any gaps beneath doors leading directly outside.
I Closing off any rooms that do not require heating.
I Ensuring ceilings are insulated.
I Making sure the flue is cleaned regularly.
I Using dry wood only.
By half closing your unit’s vents you will increase wood saving, without
minimizing the convection heat output. This convection system may also
be aided by the operation of ceiling fans which will help to circulate air in
rooms with cathedral or high ceilings, or where warm air can escape into
a second story.
