the machine when feeding in
material.
•
Keep away from the discharge
zone when you are using the
machine.
•
Take great care when feeding
material into the machine to
make sure that no pieces of
metal, stones, bottles, cans or
other foreign objects are fed
in.
•
Switch off the power supply
immediately and wait until
the machine has come to a
standstill if the cutting mecha-
nism hits a foreign object or
if the machine starts to make
unusual noises or vibrate. Dis-
connect the machine from the
mains power supply and take
the following steps before you
restart and use the machine:
i. examine it for damage;
ii. replace or repair damaged
parts;
iii. check for loose parts and
tighten them if necessary.

Do not allow processed ma-
terial to accumulate in the
discharge area because this
could prevent the machine
being able to discharge cor-
rectly and result in material
coming back through the in-
feed opening.
•
If the machine becomes
clogged, switch off the power
source and disconnect the
machine from the mains pow-
er supply before you remove
debris from it.
•
Never use the machine with
defective safety devices or
shields or without safety
devices, for example the at-
tached catch bag, or with a
damaged or worn cable.
•
Keep the power source free of
debris and other accumulati-
ons to protect it from suffering
damage and prevent the pos-
sibility of a fire.
•
Do not transport the machine
as long as the power source is
running.
•
Do not tilt the machine as long
as the power source is run-
ning.
Maintenance and storage
•
If you stop the machine for
maintenance, inspection,
storage or to change acces-
sories, switch off the power
source, disconnect the ma-
chine from the mains power
supply and make sure that all
moving parts have come to a
standstill. Allow the machine
to cool before carrying out
inspections, adjustments, etc.
