ONDITION

 

The battery condition is indicated by a small battery symbol on the left 
side of the LCD. As the battery voltage decreases, the low battery 
symbol begins to blink. If the battery condition is allowed to drop below 
that necessary for proper operation, the display will go blank.

The HI-3604 measures both electric (E) and magnetic (H) fields. The 
unit is switched between the E and H field modes using the membrane 
switch panel keypads. The units being measured are shown on the 
LCD display.

On/Off—

Pressing the ON/OFF keypad turns the instrument on; 

pressing the On/OFF keypad again turns the meter off. Warm up is not 
required before using the instrument. 

The HI-3604 does not include an automatic turn off. Turn the 
instrument off when not in use or between readings. 

 

Zero—

A zero function is not required or provided on the HI-3604. The 

instrument will immediately show the measured field strength.
