
Take reasonable precauti ons when charging and NEVER use the charger in a damp
environment or in the presence of combusti ble items.
The charger may become hot during the charging process. To prevent a potenti al
fi re hazard, NEVER cover the charger while charging to allow for the dissipati on
of heat.
If you encounter any diffi culty charging your eTrike or experience unusual oc-
currences in the charging process, immediately shut off the power and contact
eTrikeco or authorized service vendor for service.
Avoid getti ng any liquid around the batt ery as this can potenti ally cause leakage,
overheati ng smoke and possible explosion.
Your eTrike comes with a batt ery charger. DO NOT use other chargers to charge your eTrike
Use the batt ery life indicator on the eTrike instrument display to gauge the batt ery life. To
maximize use per trip, do not allow the batt ery life to decrease to less than 20%. When
the batt ery life is at 20% or lower, promptly charge the batt ery to full capacity.
FIRST RIDE: Charge the batt ery to full capacity before you take your fi rst ride.

CHARGING THE BATTERY

Plug the receptacle end of the charger power cable into the eTrike batt ery.
b.
Plug the charger power cable into a standard household AC 110V outlet.
NOTE: To protect the eTrike from potenti al damage as a result of power surges, it is
strongly recommended that a surge protecti ve device is used when plugging into a
standard household AC 110V outlet.
