Open the filter grid (4) and insert the carbon filter (5). Afterwards, close the filter
grid, loosen the knob (2) and adjust the optimal angle for soldering. Lock the knob
after adjustment.

For ET 493 ESD, please make sure it is stable on the workbench. The angle of the
absorber can be adjusted so as to have the optimal suction.
For ET 493A ESD, make sure that the arm is anchored firmly to the workbench. The
position of absorber can be adjusted very easy. After use, the unit can be easily
removed, taking up little space.
