Install EBDK Reset Switch for an MPLD2
1:
Install the back box according to standard electrical practices. The back box should be installed flush
and square for best installation results.
2:
Punch or drill an appropriate hole for conduit entry on the low-voltage (lower-left) side of the MPLD2.
3:
Remove the four screws that secure the lower cover on the left side of the MPLD2, and then remove
the cover (see image below).
4:
Remove the jumper from the Remote Restore Switch terminal block.
5:
Terminate two 1.5 mm
2
(16 AWG) wires to the OUT and RTN terminals on the Remote Restore
Switch terminal block.
6:
Pull the two 1.5 mm
2
(16 AWG) wires through grounded metal conduit from the MPLD2 to the
installed single-gang back box.
7:
Strip 9-10 mm (3/8 in) from the ends of the 1.5 mm
2
(16 AWG) installed control wires.
8:
Locate the WAGO cage clamp connectors in the packaging. WAGO connectors are provided as a
means to connect the installed control wire to the harness wires provided on the EBDK-SWITCH.
9:
Open two terminal levers on each WAGO connector and insert the 1.5 mm
2
(16 AWG) installed
control wire for OUT and the RTN switch wire into terminals and close the levers. See the image
below for topology.
10:
Install the switch into the back box and secure using the two screws provided.
11:
Restore the cover to the lower-left corner of the MPLD2 and secure with the four screws.
Operation
Press the button on the EBDK Reset Switch to exit bypass/emergency mode and restore normal lighting.
