Connections

4.4.1

Overview

All plug connections of the ES300 modules are located on the front (see Fig. 4-2).

The LEMO plug connectors used are installed in accordance with degree of pro-
tection IP67.

4.4.2

Daisy Chain

The modules are connected using a daisy-chain topology. The input and output
sockets are freely selectable. The CAN data line and the voltage supply are
looped through the daisy-chain connections of the module.

One connection is connected to the bus interface module. The other connection
is connected with the following module of the ES300 series or the CAN terminat-
ing resistor is connected to the connection at the last module of the chain.
