Mounting the BR_XETK-S4.0 on the ECU Housing

5.1.1

How to attach the BR_XETK-S4.0

There are different methods to attach the BR_XETK-S4.0 on the ECU housing:

• Fixing the BR_XETK-S4.0 with mounting bracket
• Fixing the BR_XETK-S4.0 without mounting bracket

The mounting bracket is an BR_XETK-S4.0 accessories and can be ordered
separately (refer to chapter “Mounting Material” on page

78).

CAUTION

Some components of the interface board may be damaged or destroyed by

electrostatic discharges. Please keep the board in its storage package until it

is installed.

The board should only be taken from its package, configured, and installed at

a workplace that is protected against static discharge.

CAUTION

Risk of short circuiting the internal signals of the BR_XETK-S4.0!

When you mount the BR_XETK-S4.0 to the ECU, you must ensure that the

screws and washers used will not penetrate the BR_XETK-S4.0 printed circuit

board.

CAUTION

Risk of thermal damage of the BR_XETK-S4.0!

For all types of mounting the BR_XETK-S4.0 on the ECU housing, the gap pad

has to be used!

NOTE

ETAS recommends to attach the BR_XETK-S4.0 on the ECU housing with
mounting bracket.
