START UP AND OPERATING TIPS

Recommended
battery: U1-240-W
wet cell light industrial 12 volt
battery. Fully charge before using. Be sure connectors are clean and
tight.
•
Fill oil and gasoline per engine manufacturers recommendations
before attempting to start engine.
•
Do not operate unit with a dead or poorly charged battery as clutch
failure could result.
•
Keep entire machine and features in good operating condition.
•
Service or repair should be done only by qualified persons.
•
It is desirable to cut with the front of the mower lower than the rear;
this takes less power, as it does not re-cut the vegetation.
•
Maximum towing speed is 5 mph. If towing on rough or uneven
ground or when tongue is offset, slower speeds must be used to
compensate.
•
Blade clutch switch must be set to engage before seat switch will be
operative .
•
Read and understand safety portion of this manual before operating.
•
Grease transport wheels often, failure to lubricate the wheels will
•
void bearing warranty.
•
If the blade stops during light cutting you may need to tighten the
idler.
•
If the engine stops when starting the blades, you may need to increase
the speed of the engine or loosen the idler pressure.
•
Check drive belt often, as it is part of the overload protection.
•
When transporting on a trailer or truck, lower the unit to rest on the
bed or blocks. When the unit is tied down, or the constant bouncing
of higher speeds can very hard on the lift system.

Always replace bolts and bushings when replacing blades.
