PRODUCT OVERVIEW
FIRST TIME USE
• Before the appliance is used for the first time, it must be thoroughly cleaned as
described in the section Cleaning and Maintenance.
• Always use a suitable container for operation. A tall container with a wide flat base is
best.
• Push the hand blender down into the ingredients in the bowl before briefly switch-
ing the appliance on with the operation button.
• Make sure that the appliance can rotate freely inside the bowl and is not blocked
during operation.
• As soon as the operation button is released, the blender will switch off. Always wait
until the motor has come to a complete stop before lifting the blender attachment
from the mixture.
• Always remove the mains plug from the wall socket after use.
SHORT-TIME OPERATION
The appliance is designed to process average domestic quantities of food; it may be
operated without interruption for a maximum of 1 minute, after which it should then
be allowed to cool down for approximately 10 minutes.
OPERATION
• The hand blender blends and mixes fast and easily. Use it to make sauces, soups,
mayonnaise, purees, dietary and baby food, mixed drinks or cocktails.
• Should you want to blend directly in the saucepan while cooking, first take the pan
away from the stove, to protect your hand blender from over heating.
• To avoid splashing, insert the hand blender into the vessel first, and then press the
operation button.
• Press and hold the operation button for continuous blending.
• To turn off your hand blender, simply release the operation button.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Always remove the mains plug from the mains socket before cleaning the appli-
ance.
• To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the drive unit or the mains cable
with water and do not immerse them in water. The drive unit may be wiped with a
slightly damp, lint- free cloth.
• Do not use abrasives, harsh cleaning solutions or sharp/pointed objects for
cleaning.
• The blade can be cleaned under hot, running water. Ensure that only the blender
and blade units are cleaned this way. All other parts of the appliance must be kept
well away from water. To remove persistent food residues, a suitable brush may also
be used.
