The Care@Home™ PERS Control Panel is the heart of Essence’s Care@Home™ PERS
solution, serving as a standalone Personal Emergency Response System (PERS). The
Control Panel features: an EMERGENCY CALL button, a RESET button, a hands-free
speaker phone, a backup battery, and a PSTN and/or cellular modem. LED indicators
display the system status.
The EMERGENCY CALL button
In case of an emergency, press the EMERGENCY CALL button to trigger a medical alarm.
A siren sounds and the LED surrounding the EMERGENCY CALL button lights up in Red.
You can cancel the medical alarm by pressing the RESET button (abort time is 0-45
seconds). The Control Panel will attempt to connect to the Monitoring Station and
initiate a voice conversation.
NOTE:
You can trigger an Emergency alert by pressing either the Portable
Emergency Button or the Stationary Emergency Button.
The RESET button
The RESET button is used for the following functions:

Enable/disable the activity timer
•
Cancel an active alarm
report in progress
•
Clear indicators and
vocal reminders
