What if you need to page this Group from a phone that is not subscribed to this Multicast Channel a door or lobby
phone that uses an FXS port? The eSIP Evolution can be programmed with an extension that can be dialed by any
device to reach the Multicast Paging Groups. We will program that here:
You will program a Paging Group like any other except for the Type will be for Multicast, then the settings for the
Multicast Channel you want to access. Here we have
•
Set the number to access this Page Group to: “6300”
•
Name: “Paging”.
•
The Type is set to: “1-Way Multicast Paging”
•
The Multicast Channel is set to the IP:Port we have programmed in our phones: 224.123.123.123
•
The Port is: 6767.
Once we save this, any device on the eSIP Evolution can dial extension: 6300 and access the Multicast Page Group.
