2) DESCRIPTION
The MEF 44N wire feeder is designed for semi-automatic MIG/MAG welding with services of average and
heavy production.
It is designed to work with 300mmexternal diameter spools (International standard spool 25) and 15 Kg of
steel wire or with crosshead supplied as optional accessory, 420 mm external diameter spools
(international standard spool 4) and 30 Kg of steel wire.
It provides tension measurer and digital current to visualize the welding parameters and it keeps displayed
the reading value of the last welding; burnback setting, which allows time adjustment in which the power
source can still supply current after the welding is interrupted avoiding the wire sticking in the weld pool; 2/4
stroke module for improved confort for the operator, as it allows the welding to be done by pressing the
trigger once only to begin the welding, and in the 4 stroke module there is no need to keep the trigger
pressed.
The wire feeding system has 4 feed rollers and is protected by a right side which covers the system
completely and also allows feeding of hard steel wires, alluminium alloy or cored wires by installing
appropriate feed rollers to each type.
It also has output for remote control of thewelding tension, wire speed and to set the trigger.
Its lowweight and reduced dimensions allows excellent mobility around theworkplace.
As an option a flowmeter can be installed to control the shielding gas.
