Using the Phonebook 49
Phone Groups
The Phone Groups submenu allows you to organize
your phonebook into groups by assigning individual
phone numbers to 1 of 10 Phone Groups. For each
Phone Group, you may define the group Members and
the group Ring Sound. If you receive a call from a par-
ticular group Member, the group Ring will sound.
Groups are also used in conjunction with the
Screen
Calls submenu to allow you to select a group or groups
whose incoming calls will be screened so that the ringer
does not sound. The
Screen Calls submenu is part of
the PROF ILES menu. Refer to the Screen Calls section
in the “Menu Descriptions” chapter for more informa-
tion on
Screen Calls .
Assigning Group Rings to Your Phone Groups

from the Standby screen to access the
main menu.

until the PHONE LISTS menu is
highlighted.
Press . The PHONE LISTS menu is shown in
the display.

until the Phone Groups submenu is
highlighted.
Press to select the Phone Groups submenu. The
list of Phone Groups appears in the display.

until the Phone Group that you want
to select is highlighted.
Press to select the Phone Group to which you
want to assign group options.

until Group Ring is highlighted.
Press to select Group Ring.

to scroll through the 25 user-selectable
ring types (including musical melody ring options).
The active ring type will be indicated by a filled radio
button (
).
Press to select the Group Ring that you want to
assign to your Phone Group. The selected ring type
will ring only when you receive a call from one of the
group members.
Note! Your service provider must support Caller ID for this
feature to work properly.
Press to return to the previous screen.
Press to return to the Standby screen.
