You are now back in the "Local Area Connection Properties" dialog box. Click
OK

Close
in the "Local Area Connection Status" dialog box and close the
Network and Dial-up Connections window.
By following the next steps you can verify that your PC now has got a new IP address
from the modem's DHCP server.
Check IP configuration:

From the Start menu select Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt. The
"Command Prompt" window appears.

Type
ipconfig
and verify that the "IP Address" is within the range 192.168.254.1
to 192.168.254.253.

If the "IP Address" is not within the specified range, type
ipconfig/release
and when the C:\> appears again type
ipconfig/renew
Verify the "IP Address" again according to step 2.

Close the "Command Prompt" window.
Now you are ready to configure your modem as described in chapter 5 - Configuring the
modem.
