2.2 S5U1C88348T MPU Board
This board incorporates the S1C8P348 and external devices for oscillator circuits.
The oscillator circuit types and frequencies are given below:
OSC1 oscillator circuit: 32.768 kHz crystal oscillator circuit
OSC3 oscillator circuit: 3.68 MHz crystal oscillator circuit
When using the S5U1C88348T for program development after connecting it to the ICE, remove this MPU
board and connect the Main Board and the Peripheral circuit board with the cables.
This configuration requires cutting patterns. For more information, see Section 4.1, "Battery Mode and
ICE Mode".
2.3 S5U1C88348T LCD Board
This board contains a 128 dot
×
32 dot, 1/32 duty-cycle dot matrix STN LCD panel. Figure 2.3.1 gives the
panel layout. Figure 2.3.2 provides a display memory map.

As shown above, the first half of the dot matrix is controlled by the internal LCD driver, and the second
half and the icon area by the external S1D15210F.
For detailed information on controlling the dot matrix by the internal LCD driver, see the S1C8P348
Technical Manual and the S1C88348/317/316/308 Technical Manual.
The S1D15210F is selected by the CE1 signal of the S1C8P348. The command address for the S1D15210F is
80000h, and the data address is 80001h. (This applies to extended 512K minimum mode.)
