Copy button lets you use your scanner along with a printer connected to your computer just
like you would use a copy machine. See “Using the Scanner as a Copier” on page 99 for
instructions.
Note for Mac OS X 10.5.8 users:
Copy Utility is not supported for Mac OS X 10.5.8.
Using the EPSON Scan Icon
You can start Epson Scan by double-clicking the
EPSON Scan
icon.
Windows:
Double-click the

icon on the desktop.

The Epson Scan window automatically opens. See “Selecting an Epson Scan Mode” on page 35 for
instructions on selecting an Epson Scan mode.
Note:
You can use any TWAIN-compliant scanning program to scan with your scanner. You open the
program, select
Epson Scan
, and
scan
. When you are finished scanning, the scanned image opens in
your scanning program so you can modify, print, and save it.
Selecting an Epson Scan Mode
Epson Scan offers several scanning modes to choose from.

Full Auto Mode
lets you scan quickly and easily, without selecting any settings or previewing your
image. Full Auto Mode is best when you need to scan your originals at 100% size and you do not
need to preview the images before scanning. You can restore faded colors or remove dust marks in
Full Auto Mode. This is the default mode in Epson Scan.
