Cause
What to do
The interface cable may not be plugged in securely.
Make sure that both ends of the interface cable are plugged in
securely.
You may not be using the correct interface cable.
Use a cable that matches the specifications of the printer. Confirm
that there are not breaks in the cable.
If you are using the USB interface, use a cable that is compatible with
Hi-Speed USB.
The emulation setting for the port may not be correct.
Specify the emulation mode by make sure the correct paper size is
set in the Tray Menu using the printer’s control panel EpsonNet
Config onyour web browser, or the Printer Settings in the printer
driver. See

If a configuration status sheet does not print correctly, your printer may be damaged. Contact your dealer or a qualified
service representative.
The font cannot be printed
Cause
What to do
For Windows users, you may use the printer fonts
substituted for specified TrueType fonts.
In the printer driver, choose the
Print TrueType fonts as bitmap
check box in the Extended Settings dialog box.
The selected font is not supported by your printer.
Make sure that you have installed the correct font. See the
Font Guide
for more information.
The Mode is in Low Speed Mode. The Barcode Mode is
in Mode 2.
This mode is for printing at low speed.
Do the following in Extended Settings on the Maintenance tab.
- Clear the check from Low Speed Mode
- Turn Barcode Mode Off
