The SSR-ARE can be hotswapped into the Xpedtion 8000/8600 or installed
with the power off.
1. Loosen the screws on the installed module or slot faceplate:
Using your fingers (or a phillips screwdriver), turn the screws used to
secure the module (or faceplate) to the chassis in a counter-clockwise
direction until they are free of the chassis.
2. Remove the installed module or faceplate:
Pull firmly on the screws until the module is free of the chassis. Carefully
slide the module straight out of the slot. If you should remove the module,
install the original faceplate to prevent dust and debris from entering the
unit and to maintain proper air flow.
3. Insert the SSR-ARE into the Xpedition chassis:
Holding the new module with the text on the front panel upright, carefully
slide the module into the slot and press gently until it snaps into place. Be
sure the new module’s face plate is flush with the front panel.
4. Secure the new module:
Secure the Xpedition SSR-ARE module in place by turning the attached
screws clockwise into the chassis. Finger tighten.
