Table 4 ‐ 2 describes the LED indications and provides recommended actions as
appropriate.
The terms flashing , blinking , and solid used in Table 4-2 indicate the following:
• Flashing indicates an LED is flashing randomly.
• Blinking indicates an LED is flashing at a steady rate (approximately 50% on, 50%
off).
• Solid indicates a steady LED light. No pulsing.
• Alternating indicates an LED is flashing in a steady rate other than 50% on, 50%
off.

MGMT None Off . This module is NOT the
Management Module.

Green Solid . This module is the
designated Management
Module.
None.
Amber Flashing . This is a
temporary indication that the
module is saving data.
None.
CPU None Power off. Ensure chassis has adequate power.
Amber Blinking . Module in process
of booting.
None.
Solid . Testing. If the LED remains amber for several
minutes, contact Enterasys Networks
for technical support.
Green Blinking . Image starts
running.
None.
Solid . Functional. None.
Red Solid . Processor in reset. None.
Green
and
Amber Blinking . Indicates that the
module is in the process of
shutting down.
None. This state is activated when the
OFFLINE/RESET switch is pressed for
less than 1 second to a start the process
of an orderly shutdown.
While in this state, do not remove any
DFE-Platinum module.
