6.8.4 Diagnosing a Network Connection

The diagnosis feature allow the administrator to verify that another device is available on the network and is accepting
request packets. If the ping result returns

alive

, it means a device is on line. This feature does not work if the target device

is behind a firewall or has security software installed.



Address to Ping

Enter IP address of the device to ping.



Ping Result

View the result message from the ping test.
