USER’S MANUAL

2. CORRECT OPERATION METHOD

(CONTINUED)

6. DISC BRAKE AND CONSIDERATIONS

a. Brake clearance adjustment: turn the adjusting screw, which is located between the braking handle and the handlebar tube, using

a 2mm Allen wrench, and adjust the clearance between the brake pads and the brake disc.

b. Replace the brake pads when they have worn down by more than 1mm, when the adjusting screw has moved to the end, or twice

a year. When replacing brake pads, press one of the brake pads using a clean-slotted screwdriver to create enough space to take

out the other pad. Once you have replaced the brake pads, return the adjusting screws to the right position.

c. Run-in period: when the disc brakes are “run-in” (after a week of usage), braking power will improve significantly. During the run-in

period, do not brake suddenly to avoid irreversible damage to the braking system. Instead, brake slightly to create an appropriate

amount of friction between the brake pads and the disc brake.

d. Oil replacement: the disc brake uses mineral oil, which should be replaced when the braking handle feels weak (2-3 years).

Replace the oil using an injector.

e. Do not use lubricating oil on the disc brake, brake pads and caliper.

Do not touch the surface of the disc brake and brake pads with your hands as this may harm the brakes.

f. The oil hydraulic disc brake is quite powerful; by testing the brakes in a safe place,

you will be able to get used to the power of the brakes.

7. CHARGER AND CONSIDERATIONS

a. Plug the charger into the cell box plug first. Then, plug it into the electrical supply AC 220V/110V.

When charging is complete, do the opposite (unplug from the electrical supply then the cell box).

b. When the battery is charging, the indicator light will be red. When it is fully charged, the light will turn green.

c. If the charger overheats, the red light will flash. Take the charger to a cool or well-ventilated place.

When the internal temperature of the charger lowers to 60˚C, normal charging will resume.

d. When the charger is not connected to the battery, but still plugged in, the voltage output should be less than 42V.

When testing, place a voltmeter on the positive and negative terminals to measure the charging voltage.

e. The charger can only be used indoors.

f. Do not charge in a closed space, under scorching sun or in a high-temperature environment.

Do not put the charger on a seat cask or inside the rear compartment for charging.

g. If the charger doesn’t charge, do not connect it to an AC power supply without a load for a long time.

h. When charging, if the indicator light is abnormal or the charging case is too hot, stop charging immediately

and repair or replace the charger.

i. Do not disassemble or replace the devices inside the charger by yourself.

j. Do not use the charger in an area where there is flammable gas, as this could cause a fire or an explosion.

k. To avoid electric shock, do not place the charger near a water source and ensure it doesn’t get wet.

l. If the inside of the charger becomes exposed due to a collision, for example, do not touch it with your hands

as this could cause electric shock.

8. CELL AND CONSIDERATIONS

a.  Only use the charger provided by your retailer. Irregular or non-conforming chargers may reduce the life of or damage the cell.

b. A fully-discharged cell (Rider stops running) can be charged by over 95% within 5 hours, and fully charged within 8 hours.

c. When charging, the positive and negative end must not come into contact with metal.

d. When the Rider leaves the factory, the cell is about 80% charged. Before driving a new Rider, charge it for 3 to 10 hours.

e. If the Rider hasn’t been used for more than one month, the cell will lose around 5% of its charge.

We recommend you charge it before use.

f. Please charge the cell regularly to ensure you can reach your destination.

g. During charging, the charger may become hot. This is normal, as long as the temperature does not exceed 60˚C.

h. When charging, place the charger along with the Rider in a stable, dry place that is free from flammable

and explosive goods, and out of the reach of children.

i. When the cell becomes fully discharged, charge it within 24 hours for at least 3 hours.

j. Make sure that there is no short-circuit at the charging port.

k. Only use the cell with the Rider; otherwise, the warranty will not be valid.

l. In case of a short-circuit, the cell management system and the fuse will provide automatic dual protection.

Around 2 minutes after the short circuit is released and the fuse piece is replaced, the cell will work normally.

m. Damage or incorrect configuration of the controller, motor, horn, lighting facility, etc. will cause the cell to discharge

at high current. The cell will stop functioning but will recover within 10 seconds; this won’t have any effect on your driving.

n. The working temperature of the cell ranges between -10˚C and 60˚C.

Like other cells, the energy available will reduce as the temperature rises; this is totally normal.
