Day & Night
The IR cut filter prevents infrared (IR) light from reaching the image sensor.
In poor lighting conditions, for example at night, or when using an IR lamp, set the
mode to Night. This increases light sensitivity and allows the product to “see” infrared
light. The image is shown in black and white when the mode is Night.
If using Automatic Exposure control, set the mode to ‘Automatic’ to automatically
switch between Day and Night according to the lighting conditions.
> Mode:
Configure as one of Automatic, Day, Night, External or Color D/N mode.
The default setting is depending on the camera types. ‘Automatic’ is for Non LED
type and ‘External’ is for built-in in LED type. Color D/N mode is optimized for night
condition. It is available to recognize colors of car, people and moving objects even
at night. Parameters can be ontrollable & programmable according to circumstance.
Application for bright circumstance at night such as downtown, civic area, and etc.
> IR LED Control:
IR LED Control is available with IR LED model only. If IR LED is set to OFF, IR LED
will be turned OFF but DAY or NIGHT is still determined by the built-in light photo
sensor.
> Switching Time:
Configure the switching time of an IR cut filter transition for the specified dwell time
from the point of transition detection.
> Threshold :
Sets the threshold level switching from/to DAY(color) or NIGHT(B/W).
Setting low level makes camera entered NIGHT at lower light level.
> Gap: Sets the gap level switching from/to DAY(color) or NIGHT(B/W).
> Smart IR:
It can be set to reduce the saturation by the strong IR illumination in the night in any
menu of EXT, AUTO and B/W(NIGHT). Zero(0) turns off SMART IR and high level
avoids the saturation strongly but the corners will be darker accordingly.
